PROPERTIES of salicylic acid:

Salicylic acid has comedolytic, keratolytic, sebum-regulating, anti-inflammatory (inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins), antiseptic, antimicrobial (reduces the population of propionibacterium acnes) and astringent properties.

PROPERTIES of linoleic acid and ethyl citrate:

Linoleic acid and ethyl citrate reduce the production of DHT and create an acid environment which delays bacterial growth, keeping the bacteria levels under control.
